After stirring-up some of the most controversial reactions in recent French History the multimillion-dollar resort/theme park has managed to finally shake off all the bad publicity and is on track. As a matter of fact Disneyland Paris is now the number-one attraction in France, with over fifty million visitors annually. And with good reason. This place is really really fun. Mimicking almost exactly the planning of Walt Disney World in Florida but shrunk down to a more manageable scale Disneyland Paris has it all. Exciting rides, elaborately designed worlds, fascinating exhibits, restaurants and even bars. And with a Funpass (a simple system of ride-reservations) you even eliminate the hassle of waiting on long lines. But it doesn't stop there. The resort has been designed as a total vacation destination: Included within one enormous unit are the Disneyland Park with its five entertainment "lands," six hotels, a campground, an entertainment centre (Village Disney), a 27-hole golf course, and dozens of restaurants, shows, and shops. Families can come to Paris and spend their entire vacation here at the park and while that may seem sacrilegious it might be just what you're looking for. If you do feel like taking a trip or two into the big city, it's easy. Just hop on one of the trains leaving all throughout the day and you'll be in downtown Paris in no time.
